Life is an exploration, a passage, a flight — we find ourselves in landscapes partly constructed, partly discovered, partly given to us by others.
We cannot say, at any moment, who we "are", only how we experience the many different interactive elements of our life as they move us, shift us, please us, disturb us.
My own life has been a, largely unplanned, tour of some of what it can mean to be a woman, an artist, a poet, in the context of a variety of places, forms of employment and communities of friends, colleagues and other miscellaneous people. I've played roles as daughter, sister, wife, friend, aunt, niece, as well as mother to many dogs and cats.
This is another place where the different aspects of being "me" can interact with people I've known and perhaps meet others I'll come to know.
My name is Mardi
